Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, a 16-by-32-foot sculpture for Simpsonwood United Methodist Church in Norcross, Ga.
In Memorium for the Shreveport Bonsai Society, the 2-by-3-foot sculpture pictures the hand of a man supporting a bonsai against a rocky cliff - reflecting the balance and connection between all living things. Nugad, a portrait bust of an Arabian stallion, for country music singer Kenny Rogers' home in Colbert, Ga. Bust of Athens businessman and civic leader Stan Henderson and Buford artist A.R. Wood. Pulmeri Memorial, a bronze sculpture commissioned by Primerica Corporation depicting Mr. Pulmeri handing a baseball to a youth. Mr. Pulmeri was instrumental in building a baseball stadium for a community in New Jersey. Ascension, a bronze angel with arms stretched to heaven. This sculpture was submitted as part of an international competition to choose a memorial for the site of the Oklahoma City bombing. Gorilla Family, a bronze relief of a gorilla family on the dedication plaque in Zoo Atlanta's Ford African Rainforest, a limited edition print of a gorilla family for Zoo Atlanta and a terra cotta hand print of the zoo's most famous resident, Willie B. The impression of the gorilla's hands was made after the 440-pound animal was sedated so zoo officials could transport him to his new habitat. Four Seasons, a 8-by-4-foot stoneware relief sculpture of galloping horses. Plieades, a 6-by-11-foot relief sculpture depicts the mythology behind the Seven Sisters. | In describing his creative process, McCallum says "You have to get to that place where it just happens, where it flows. Whether it's a human figure or horses, it's an aspect beyond the visual. It's the spiritual, and that's the part I just open up to. That's when it's the best." | ||
